One of the more challenging aspects of upgrading/converting a car to electric drive is dealing with the complexity of the existing electrical system. When the internal combustion engine and its related systems are removed, the car's brain can get quite confused, especially in newer cars where more of the systems are mediated by computers.

The RechargeCar team has finally recovered from our first trade show. We would like to thank everyone who made EVCCON 2011 a HUGE success. It was refreshing to be amongst a group of people with such knowledge and wisdom. The contacts we made are invaluable and the friendships even more so.

Here we have a working prototype of our AutoBlock AMP. Development is going well but somewhere along the line, we came down with a slight case of featuritis. We wanted to give the installer many options for interface in addition to the USB connection. Eventually we settled on: 2 analog and 2 digital outputs. We think you will like it.
